Tackling plastic pollution,
one source at a time
We are rooted in science and use our strong foundation and collaboration with the Rochman Lab to answer pressing questions related to issues dealing with plastic pollution, particularly those that are applicable to positive change.
The issue of plastic pollution is complex, and sources are diverse. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to plastic pollution. Thus, our goal is to inform solutions that tackle many sources of plastic pollution in parallel.
Through our Pollution Prevention program, we run several individual solutions-based research projects to inform the prevention of plastic pollution – one source at a time!
This project focuses on upstream solutions. Interested in downstream solutions? Visit our Fighting Floatables project where we work to cleanup and divert litter from Toronto’s waterways!
