Today’s Catch: Trash Trap Dive

On Saturday July 20, join our Trash Trap Dive for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to peek behind the scenes and learn how to characterize litter diverted by trash traps on the Toronto Waterfront.
You’ll have the unique opportunity to:
- Meet members of the Toronto Inner Harbour Floatables Strategy
- Get hands-on with a team of researchers
- Learn how we characterize both large and small items collected by trash traps
- Learn about microplastics, where they come from and how we can prevent them from reaching Lake Ontario and eventually the ocean.
Event details:
- Date: Saturday, July 20th, 2024
- Time: Please arrive by 9:45 am to check in! We will begin promptly at 10 am and conclude at noon. We encourage you to stick around and visit displays during our sister event, Today’s Catch: Lakeside Litter, taking place at the same location.
